Surface of your choice (no canvas or glass). You may enlarge slightly
if you want, Basecoat with Buttermilk or any light golden tan color. Gel medium
and very little Burnt Sienna were used to create a semi-transparent hazed
                      background, behind the zebra.

Prep Work...Have this done before coming to class...
                      1. Transfer just the outline for the zebra and ibis.  (See above for link to Baby Zebra outline.pdf file)
                      2. Base zebra and ibis with White (solid white, no streaks.
                      3. Dry. Seal surface with matte acrylic spray (or lightly varnish).
                      4. Transfer body parts lines of the zebra and ibis (jaws, hip, legs, eye nostrils,
                      etc.).
                      5. Transfer stripe indicator lines (lines which fall in the middle of each
                      stripe).
                      6. Transfer a few grass indicator lines, but they are easier to paint
                      freehand.

If you wish, you may paint on a practice board. Heavily spray (or lightly
varnish) a piece of K-Mart (or any kind) of poster board with matte acrylic
spray. Dry. Base coat with color of choice. Dry. Spray liberally (or lightly
varnish) again until surface is semi-slick. Transfer design. If it turns out
                      really cute, it is frame-able.

Spray alternative: When matte acrylic spray is called for, you may always substitute
Final Coat wipe-on varnish, or a light coat of any satin varnish.
